“I would like the Committee to request the presence of Google’s CEO, Mr. Sundar Pichai, as well as any key software engineering personnel, to answer questions about Google’s search algorithm, and the methods the company uses. affecting visibility, ranking, and visual representation of election/political content in US-based search results, news, and YouTube,” Sen. The process has been failing to provide detailed recommendations on the Trump life test since July 28, when Marshall began conducting public searches on Google.

During an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, a gunman opened fire, shooting Trump in the ear, killing one person and seriously injuring two others. After Trump was shot, blood visible on his face, Secret Service dragged him off the stage.

“As one of the world’s leading search aggregators, Google has a significant influence on the public’s access to knowledge, controlling approximately 80 to 90 percent of the total search engine market. worldwide search,” Marshall wrote.

“Furthermore, given their advanced technological capabilities, there was no good reason for Google to refuse to update their algorithms to anticipate more queries as a result of the recent test and the most appropriate massacre in US history,” he said.

According to the senator, “Google was caught playing politics instead of actively working to promote improved and authentic results.”

Marshall said he worries that Google, left unchecked, will bias its search results “against President Trump and other conservatives.”

He also noted the importance of investigating this issue with Google before the 2024 elections.

The Republican launched its investigation into Google in late July, sending the company a letter demanding answers about the lack of search results related to Trump’s assassination attempts.

In its response, Google told Marshall that the results of the search operation were caused by the company’s policy to prevent the result of “imaginary political violence against current statistics.”

According to Google, the systems have been updated and “outdated systems have led to an inadequate user experience.”

At the time, Marshall made it clear that he wasn’t buying this answer. “Google now publicly admits that they were blocking and erasing search results related to the attempted assassination of President Trump,” they responded to their letter in a statement. “Most surprising is their incredible written defense that Trump’s assassination attempt was a ‘premeditated act of political violence’ until we asked the public on July 28th.”

Google, Peters and Paul did not comment to Fox News Digital by the time of publication.
